La Merced Cathedral

La Merced Cathedral, built since 1605 in Baroque style with Renaissance and colonial influences, has its origin in a conventual Mercedarian chapel. Attributed to Alonso de Valdeviras or Fray Juan de Santamaría, it reflects a rich religious history since around 1615.

La Cinta Sanctuary

Nuestra Señora de La Cinta Sanctuary, patron saint of Huelva, has its roots in the history of the Discovery of America. Located on a unique hill, this 15th century Gothic-Mudejar building houses an 18th century altarpiece and a carving of the Virgin. It was where Columbus prayed in 1493 after his voyage, because he related his success to the protection of the Virgen de La Cinta.

La Soledad Hermitage

La Soledad Hermitage, located in the historic district of San Sebastian in Huelva, is a building of uncertain origin possibly dating from the eighteenth century. Its history is related to the Order of Santiago and the Christian conquest in the 13th century. It currently houses the Santo Entierro brotherhood and is part of the religious heritage of the city.

San Pedro Church

It is Gothic-Mudejar style, dating from the fourteenth century and is located in a historic hill. Built on the remains of an Arab mosque, its architecture includes Sevillian influences and stands out for its artistic head and chapels, being an important site of worship and heritage.

La Merced Bullring

La Merced Bullring is an iconic bullring in Huelva, with more than a century of history. Located in the center of the city, it offers exciting bullfights and bullfighting events, being an emblematic place for lovers of bullfighting and local culture.

Emigrantes del Rocío de Huelva Brotherhood

Founded in Germany in the 60’s, it honors the Virgen del Rocío. Recognized as “Public Utility”, it has its own headquarters and a temple in Molino de la Vega since 1998, exemplifying its devotion and rociero spirit rooted in the city.

El Rocío de Huelva Brotherhood

The Royal and Illustrious Ntra. Sra. del Rocío de Huelva Brotherhood is a religious community established in 1962, which renders devotion to the Virgen del Rocío and participates in the annual pilgrimage to the village of Almonte. Its headquarters hosts key events such as the Triduum, the Main Function of Institute and the inauguration of the Brotherhood President and Government Board.

La Milagrosa Church

La Milagrosa Church in Huelva is a neo-Gothic example built between 1923 and 1929. It stands out for its Gothic architecture, stained glass windows and the image of Our Lady Star of the Sea. Its facade has Gothic elements and has been the subject of reconstruction projects.

Peña Flamenca de Huelva

It is an outstanding space for flamenco lovers in the city. Founded as a cultural entity in 1966, it hosts flamenco events and performances, promoting and preserving this traditional art. Its headquarters is a meeting point for artists and enthusiasts.

Peña Flamenca la Orden

It is a reference of flamenco in Huelva. Established in 1972, it promotes and disseminates this art through performances, competitions and cultural events. Its headquarters is a space where flamenco lovers can enjoy and support local and international artists.

La Cinta Treasure

La Cinta Treasure is a collection of valuable offerings dedicated to the Virgin. It is composed of jewelry, ornaments and religious objects donated over the years. These pieces reflect the devotion and history of the Virgen de la Cinta Brotherhood.

Santa María de Gracia Convent

The Santa María de Gracia Convent is located on the side of the centrally located Plaza de las Monjas, where there was once an Arab necropolis. On 25 March 1510 the congregation of nuns whose aims were the glory of God in silence, prayer and sacrifice began their cloistered life under the protection of Doña Elvira de Guzmán y Maldonado, Countess of Niebla.
