The Cocheras del Puerto de Huelva Interpretation Centre is located in Avenida Hispanoamérica, s/n, in front of the Muelle de Levante, inside the Parque de Zafra enclosure, in front of the lake.
The building consists of two halls of great heritage interest. These ships were designed in 1909 by the director of the Port of Huelva, Francisco Montenegro.
They were formerly used as a locomotive depot and warehouse for the Port of Huelva, but now they have been converted into an Interpretation Center that tries to explain the effects of the industrial revolution and mining in the province of Huelva. They are also used as a cultural center, where theatrical, music and dance events are held.
