Fishing is a tradition in Huelva, an eminently seafaring city. Therefore, there are a large number of companies and spaces that offer lovers of sport fishing a unique experience, in contact with nature and learning the different modalities and spaces enabled for it in our city.
In addition to the well-known beaches that make up the coast of Huelva, such as Ayamonte, Isla Cristina, La Antilla, Mazagón or Matalascañas, in Huelva capital, one of the emblematic spaces where locals and visitors who love fishing practice this sport is the Espigón de Huelva. A wide space, 15 km long, where you can practice spinning or surfcasting fishing. From the Espigón you can fish towards the estuary or towards the open sea, depending on your preference and modality and you can catch species such as sea bream, sea bass, bream, bream, mojarras, mackerel, etcetera.
Very close to the capital you can also fish in the Salinas del Astur (temporarily closed) or in the Playa de la Bota.
The Huelva delegation of the Andalusian Federation of Sport Fishing organizes a large number of championships throughout the year both in the capital and in different areas where sport fishing is traditionally practiced in Huelva.
For its part, in the city you will find a large number of companies dedicated to the sale of fishing equipment and articles such as Deportes Rocío del Mar, Maxpesca, Brutal Pescaetc., as well as companies that offer fishing trips with different modalities such as Charter Caiman, Capitan Charter, which offers departures from the Real Club Marítimo de Huelva which, for its part, offers its subscribers activities such as Kayak fishing and carries out different fishing competitions in its facilities.
